Update.

The lads got a draw at Le Catalan (they nearly got a win, a try scored after the hooter was disallowed by the video ref) Injuries are still a big worry, 2 forwards where injured during the game, longish term ones too. This run of bad luck has to stop soon!

An online pal of mine had just set up a new forum. You can post about anything and even listen to the forum radio station too whilst you browse.

Crikey!

Crikey indeed! Today the lads entertain World Club and Super League champs (and in Sh*t hot form to boot) Leeds Rhinos today. I'm not looking forward to it one bit! After our disappointing defeat, 11-10 to The Sith, I really cant see us getting anything at all from the game. We picked up a couple more injuries on Friday, and some players are playing just games and not training with the rest of the team. This tends to show when it's your organisers who are doing that.
I hope we can get a result, but I think the only way we can do it is either to take an Elephant gun on the park, or Leeds think they've won the game before the game starts.
Then, we'll do em of course!!!
Come on you Hulllaaaaaaahhh!!!

Derby day.

I hope to God we play well tomorrow. we need to erase that awful stuffing the Sith handed out to us in the last derby. In this clip though we won, and a few of our players shown are no longer at the club, but lets not go into that again shall we?
COME ON YOU HULLAAAA!!!

Checking in.

The lads are at home tonight against Wakefield. Hopefully we'll get a win. I won't be going to the game considering my situation at the mo, but it's on TV, so I can shout and bawl at that instead!

Browsing around.....
I've been trying out some different browsers over the last couple of days. I haven't used Internet Explorer for some time, even though the latest (IE7) is a great improvement.
My Favourite browser at the moment is Firefox. I think what clinches it for me is the myriad of add-ons you can use to complement the main browser. One that is very clever and I use it all the time, is called Cooliris Preview. Say you are doing a search on Google and you get your list of links, with Cooliris you can put your mouse onto the link and get a preview of the page. It's particularly handy when you are searching videos on You Tube, as you can view each video in a preview window.
Here's a You Tube video telling you all about it

If you use Firefox you can download Cooliris HERE

The last couple of days I have been trying out the Opera browser. I did like it. It is fast and easy to use. But I have to say I missed the add ons that Firefox has. If you fancy trying out a different browser, go HERE
You can download the browsers I have mentioned at that link and a few others besides.
Happy Browsing!

Gutted!

I'm very disappointed about Hull FC's defeat in the last seconds at St Helens. We went down 30-29. It seems that everything is conspiring against us. The injury list is as long as ever, when we get one player back we loose 2! But the lads are fighting, and that's what the majority of Hull fans are bothered about. If we keep fighting the results will come. We've had bad runs like this before, we NEVER start seasons well, so to all you fans who are running around like headless chickens, shut the hell up and get behind the lads!
While I'm here I'm going to voice my support of coach Peter Sharp. He has a lot of pressure on him right now. His contract is up at the end of the season, and the board seem to be taking a 'wait and see' approach, which is fair enough. But I think it would be unwise to let that situation go on for too long.
A lot of idiots are criticising Sharpy for his media skills, last night his after game press conference was practically mono-syllabic. I personally couldn't give a monkeys. I know in this age of 24 hour sports coverage a lot of people would like it, but it doesn't make a jot of difference to what happens on the park.
He wont read this of course, but the vast majority of fans still back you Mr Sharp. It's just that the moanalots seem to have bigger gobs! Things will turn around, we have far to many talented players for it not too.
Come on you Hullaaaah!

Still Hobbling about.

But better, I have to say. I'll be back at work next week I think.
Unfortunately Hull FC didn't get a win to cheer me up on Sunday. Friday we're away to Saints, and with all the injuries we have, well, its an uphill struggle. As soon as we get a player back, another hits the treatment room! All very disheartening, especially as if we had a full side out, we could wipe the floor with anyone. I just hope we get a few back over the next couple of weeks before we play the Sith.
Just to lighten the mood, and continuing the decades theme, here's my choice of music from the 70's.
Still one of my favourite all time tracks, here's the Jackson 5 with 'I want you back'

If I had to choose one artist to take on a desert island with me, it would have to be Queen. Here's a couple of tracks from their 3rd album 'Sheer Heart Attack' 'Killer Queen' and 'Flick of the Wrist' What a marvellous single that was!
