Hi all, Christmas is over for another year, just New Year to get out of the way and thats it! I know that sounds very miserable but I have to work more during the holidays and its very tiring (boo hoo!)
I did get some nice pressies though, My hubby built me a new PC (whats he after?!) and I got some very silly Tigger slippers. Ive got lots of smelly things, a book and some more Tiggers. ( i like tiggers)
Next week readers I'll have some proper rugby news, as my dear lads play those heathen devils from across the city, Hull KR, in a friendly. Thats if I remember to post it. :)
Adieu dear readers and a Happy new year to you all!

Hello again, sorry about the delay in posting (as if anyone is reading this lol) But as I mentioned in my last post I've had a busy few weeks. My eldest daughter Shell did indeed move back home, with her cat Chibi (I call him Mr Chibs, chibi is too girly for a boy cat!) Anyway, all is settling down now, but I have competition for the PC now! (boo)
Today is my hubbys birthday, tomorrow it is my birthday, were both hitting 47, but of course he is older than I am, even if it is a day lol. Were off out for dinner tonight, at this little Malaysian place we go to, yummy yum yum !
One thing about my birthday, its a sort of marker in another way, exactly 2 weeks to Christmas Day, which usually means one thing.......PANIC! But this year i'm being quite organised about things, strange but true. One thing I do hate is shopping, everywhere is completely packed and its a nightmare. So that is why the very wonderful internet comes in. I dont know what I'd do with out it to be honest!

Now on to rugby news, it is still the close season so not a lot of news to report. Our yearly friendly match (!?) against deadly rivals Hull KR has been called off as they wanted more money from the gate reciepts. I'm quite sad about this as although we usually tan their hides nowadays, there is always a good fight (on the pitch ofcourse) I know, at my age i should say such things, but its all in good fun and they shake hands afterwards!
Our new shirts have been released. Now I quite like them both. For the un-HullFC-ified, the stripey one is the home shirt the other is worn at away games. I'm quite pleased with them both. Our home shirt has gone back to our traditional black and white hoops, where the away strip looks unusual. You cant usually see what theyre like till you see them on the pitch though. As you can see 2 of our most handsome players were picked to model the new kit. but we love them all the same lol.
Fare thee well and adieu for now,
airliebird.

Hello all.
Having a quiet mo so I thought I'd post again. This will soon change as my eldest daughter after a couple of years in the big world is coming back home. Its a long story but i think shes making the right decision to get herself sorted out financially etc. The thing is, she wont be alone. She is bringing her cat too. Now I have 2 cats, a brother and sister called Jess and Lolly. Jess is reclined on top of my monitor as I speak. (He likes to keep an eye on me, and so he should!)
Anyway, the new addition is a young lad called Chibi........I just hope they all get along.
Now the subtitle to this blog is 'musings of a Hull Fc fan' and for those that dont know what or who Hull FC are I'd better explain.......
Hull FC are my local rugby League team, and to put no finer point on it, the one enduring love of my life (If you dont include family etc)
I have supported them for 26 years, and to be honest its a bad time to start this blog as were in close season at the mo.
But........we have some internationals going on at the moment, and one of my lads has at last got picked for Great Britain! Go get em Richard me lad!
Although knowing our coach, he'll get put him in the 2nd row.........
Sorry, thats a whimsey only fellow RL fans will understand! :)
Will let you know how he does!!
Adieu for now,
airliebird

Hello all,
Had a very quiet day today. Hubby went back away on a job (he's been home all the last week) The highlight of my day being a visit to the bank. They wanted me to have my bank balance sent to me every week to my mobile phone. It was free apparently. I suppose it could be handy for some people. I for one very rarely have a bean in my bank account so it would be a waste of time. I bet they only want your number for adverts!
Ive been trying to find my way around the Blog page. Cannot get to drips with the link thing. My links just wont appear! I'll have to get my daughter on it, shes a whizz with those sort of things.
My next post will be a bit more interesting......I hope! Untill then adieu.

Post No.1!

Hello to anyone that passes this way. I am Mandy and I live in the lovely county of Yorkshire in the UK.
I really dont know what I'm going to post on here, but I'm sure I'll think of something.
The first day of my blog has been very quiet. Ive spent the day indoors just doing housewifey type things........or try to do those sort of things as I claim to be the worlds worst housekeeper.
I have a husband, 2 daughters (no longer at home) and 2 cats. One of which needs a tablet. I wonder if cats recognise certain words, because at the very mention of 'tablet' Lolly (the female) skiddaddles like a whippet. Jess (the male) is a bit slower and is easilly caught :)
I will post some pics of my little furry pals at a later date.
Well thats all for today, I'll add a little more as time goes on. I know, youre all out there in blogland panting with anticipation.
For now adieu....
