Its very quiet.

I havent posted the last few days since I got my new monitor, as to be honest I couldn't think of anything to write about.
Things have been very quiet around here, no rugby for one. We did go and visit my eldest daughter last week. She has moved to Leeds to get ready for starting University. She's sharing a house with 3 other people, and lives a stones throw away from the Headingley Rugby/Cricket ground. (I can pop in when the FC play there!)
Its not a bad house at all, has all been redecorated etc. We'll see how long it keeps tidy! My daughters room was so tidy I took a short video of it on my phone to keep for posterity!
Its quite amazing what you can do on a mobile phone now isnt it? I dont have a posh one by any means, but can take photos, videos and access the internet. While I was offline I could read my emails and even chat on MSN on my phone! I was talking about all this to my Dad (who has just got his head around sending a text) and he was amazed at watching video on my phone. The changes my parents must have seen in their lives!
I was trying to think about how things have changed since I was a kid, the first things that come to mind are microwaves (thank God for those!) mobile phones, video and dvd, and of course PC's!
Oh, and any ladies who may read this may agree with this one.....Hair Straighteners!!! Fantastic invention! When I think about my frizzy hair in my teens.....well, I'd rather not thankyou!

Hooray!!

My new monitor arrived this morning and am I glad! Its a smasher and seems so much bigger than my old one even though on paper its the same size. Poor old Jess (my cat) wont be able to sit on this monitor lol!
This weekend Hull FC haven't a game as its the Challenge Cup Final. I cant believe its a year already since we won the cup. It was one of the most fabulous days of my life. It took me a fortnight to get over it, and most of the game I cried lol.
The lads lined up for the national anthem, I cried. At half time, I cried. We won the game, I cried. It was a good job I took plenty of tissues!
Sunday I'll be able to have another look at the mighty whites as I think theyre on TV. Lets hope the lads can serve up a really good performance!

update

Still waiting for my monitor, it could be anything up to 2 weeks. Hopefully it will be a LOT shorter than that!!
I'm just stealing a bit of time on the Hubbys works laptop, (again) but can access my email on my phone. Clever stuff eh?
I really miss the blogs I read and chatting on MSN, I have quite a few good pals on there now.

Hull FC are still 4 points clear in 2nd place with a very hard fought win on Sunday. I'm not jumping the gun but were looking good :)

Just a quick post...

I'm offline at the mo, just posting on the Hubbys lap top. After my CPU blowing, then my dvd drive declining to work, my monitor is now kapput! Ah well, they say things go in three's!
Were just waiting for a new one to be delivered, so hopefully I'll be back up and running and reporting on Hull FC and their marvellous exploits in no time! :)

A Busy Sunday!

Both my teams are playing on Sunday. At 12pm Leeds Utd take on Crystal Palace away, and at 3pm Hull FC take on Huddersfield also away. Unfortunatly I wont make the trip to Huddersfield as I wouldn't get back in time for work at 7pm. So it will be an ear stuck to the radio all day!

As one season comes to an end....

....another begins.
I'm quite sorted really sport wise, just as my beloved Hull FC's season is drawing to a close, the Footie season starts and another campaign for the Mighty Whites.
At home to Norwich City today.
Marchin' on Together!

And it was.........

.....a great night, and a great win. 23-16 and we go into 2nd place in the table on points!
This is just a quick post, its getting late but I was so pleased and proud of the lads. For once we've been in a game that can really make a difference and we came up with the goods. Usually we dont.
Grand Final here we come?
Gordon Bennet! I'd need Valium!

Hoping for a great night...

Well, after a barren two weeks the lads are back, and what a match to bounce back with! Tonight we are at home to the Leeds Rhinos. The winner will go to second in Super League. At the moment we are on the same points, with Leeds edging into second on points difference.
We have some crucial players back from injury tonight, and should give them a hell of a game.
A very good side, the Rhinos have had a bit of a slump, losing a couple of games on the trot. They were defeated last weekend in the semi's of the Challenge Cup, and just didn't seem to get off the bus. I hope they give a similar performance tonight :)
Mind you, on the other hand I don't. I want them to play fantastically and we still beat their asses. Because for some reason no matter how well we do, certain members of the press believe we are in a 'false' league position, and don't deserve to be where we are.
It shouldn't do, but it rankles at me and many Hull Fans, and with a bit of luck our illustrious coach Peter Sharp will stick the most recent offending article on the dressing room wall.
Come on you Hullllaaaaaa!
