Lucky Number 13...

Hull Fc hit 13 wins on the belt with a 36-24 defeat of Warrington. Still not fireing on all cylinders by any means, but still winning. I would like to see us picking things up a little as its getting to the business end of the season, and we need to be at our very best in the play offs.
One of the highlights of the game was Richard Horne equalling the club record of scoring in 11 consequative games set by the legendary Jack Harrison VC 91 yrs ago.
Both are pictured above. Just makes me think that how many things change but much remains the same. Thats why clubs like Hull Fc mean so much to people, its a constant in their lives.
Anyway, well done Richard, but I dont think he'll equal Mr Harrisons other record, which was 52 tries in one season!
Jack Harrison had a full but sadly short life, cut short serving in the Great War, and was awarded the V.C. Theres an interesting article about his life on Wikipedia

I think Hull have definately a chance in the play offs if they can stay clear of injuries.
They are on a great run and confidence is so important in sport.
I watched highlights at lunch time.

The thing is though is we haven't had a really good performance since we beat league leaders St Helens 5 matches ago. It does make you worry that they can slip back up into top gear for the playoffs.
But hey... maybe I worry too much. Its very much like supporting LUFC we get disappointed a lot, but when the highs do come its bloody fantastic. Funnily enough, both teams seem to be hated pathologically by some folk lol

I think part of us enjoy's supporting teams that are hated. It makes you even more determined to swear your loyalty.
