Something to make you think............

While theres a lull in the rugby (for Hull FC anyway) I'm going to recommend a documentary you can watch on line. I've always been fascinated by all sorts of conspiracy theory's, and the Internet is the ideal place to search about all sorts of the stuff. Ok, some are quite potty I must admit, but there is one theory that has been gathering momentum lately at quite a pace. It is challenging the official U.S. Government line on the 9-11 terrorist attacks.
Having read a lot about it online, I personally think at the very least the U.S. Government new about it and let it happen.
Anyway, before you think 'the woman is mad!' and you have an hour or so to spare, have a look at this documentary called 'Loose Change' It was made by some young guys from the US and it made me think...........
Link to Loose Change 2nd edition
You will most probably need a broadband connection to view it.

i listen to talk sport a lot, and the best bits are the non sport shows, i.e james whale and mike dicken, im not sure which one of these two discussed it but they had a guy on with all sorts of evidence, and as much as i believe anything can be twisted to make a point, a lot of the stuff did actually fall into place, and i do believe they had a hand in it.another conspiracy theory mike dicken discussed was the landing of the rocket on the moon, he says that when it occurred he was at a friends house, this friends dad was a high up person in space research and when they said look weve landed on the moon, apparently this guy said they havent its a con, and that was when no one was questioning it, a lot of the evidence was damning on that too. and dont get me started on dianas murder!!!!

Interesting thought but as an American, I'd say the Bush Administration did not "let" 9/11 happen. The Clinton Administration sat on its ass (I like Bill but we all know he has morality issues that interfered with his leadership) and let the known training camps flourish. Hmm, probably was some money passing into Bill or Hillary's coffers, maybe. Who knows?

I really do think there are quite a few questions to be answered, not only about 9-11 but the attacks here in Britain on 7-7. I'm sure shady stuff has gone on since the year dot. What has changed is the access to information, especially with the Internet etc. All the questions raised about how both the US and UK eventually ended up in Iraq and Afghanistan have never really been talked about in the mainstream media. Where the Internet can give you a lot of rubbish info, I think the truth usually raises to the surface.
On the Moon thing tho, I think you only have to look at the pics the astronauts took, fantastic shots, considering the couldn't focus the cameras, and they were attached to their chests!

The thing about politicians is I find it very difficult to trust what anyone of them say or do.
I think the majority of them are in it for what they can get out and not the good of the country.

Take our country Labour & Tories if one say's black the other say's white just to be opposite. Surely if they all had the good of the nation in mind they should agree on 90% of policy's, they are suppose to be intelligent people.

As for the war in Iraq they have managed to get themselves in a no win situation. If they stay indefinately they will get slaughtered in the media, If they pull out the ordinary people of Iraq will be left to the mercy of the fanatics.

For all Saddams faults he had a reign of terror but kept the various factions in check He wasn't answerable to the worlds media, some countries need dictatorships because of tribal conflicts.

I will critisise the US military for their tactics, who in their right mind uses an infantry division to police a city, it can't be done, they are trained for combat with their heavy armour not manning checkpoints and patrolling a city (this decision is responsible for a lot of the deaths). They should have just sealed of key installations such as airport, power plants, water stations, etc. and made these no go areas.

Airliebird, you have got me I don't normally comment on politics. Soon be football season and I will have something to talk about.

the biggest conspiracy theory has got to be, if wigan finish bottom of super league we know they aint going down, and so did fugly brian noble.

Youre right about Saddam Mick. He was a b*stard but he kept em all in check. They talk all this stuff about 'democracy' but you don't bring democracy at the point of a gun do you? Mind you, democracy is a bit of a jest isn't it? What bloody say do we have really? Over a million people marched in London before they went into Iraq, and did Blair take any notice? If he did I'm the Queen of Sheba!
Wigoon wont go down, we all know that Phil. We play them away on the last game of the season and I'm sure everyone would be behind the FC if we could send the beggers down! lol.
What fun that would be!!

errrrrrrrrrrrr not everyone would be behind fc, i just couldnt do it, lol. let me tell you a little story, when the frogs were let into super league i said to my lad, well there are only two games i hope b&w bas***ds win this season frogs home and away, they are two games i will be cheering them on, but when it came to it, sorry just couldnt do it, frogs might have been put there unfairly at the expense of teams trying for years to get up just because super league wants to "expand" but sorry i couldnt shout for hull!!!!!

(Sorry, had a weird typo I had to fix. Story of my life.) Interesting points of view. I love listening to different points of view. Mine is a bit tainted, I will admit. My nephew served 2 years in Iraq. I firmly believe I enjoy all the wonderful liberties and rights that I have today because of brave men (and women) like my nephew who are willing to not only voice an opinion but back it up.

The world is a fascinating place. I have a grandmother on my father's side that came from England so I have a "soft" spot for the Brits. Can't help it.

Rachel:
I absolutely agree with you about the brave men and women of our armed forces. They always have my support.
But.
I believe the reasons why both the UK and US troops where sent into Iraq were terribly flawed and it could be argued the real reason was to make money and secure oil.
In fact I'd go as far as saying both Bush and Blair have blood on their hands, but of course they will never be brought to justice.
Mind you, I do tend to believe in karma, what goes around always comes around.
Phil:
I understand perfectly how you feel, I sat down to watch the match this aftie and was all ready to get behind Rovers but I couldn't do it.
I think its genetic lol.
