Update on the FC

Well there hasn't been a lot happening FC wise lately (usually means trouble on the way that does!)
We lost away to Leeds Rhinos last Friday after being 18-2 up at half time. I was gobsmacked how well it went in the 1st half, especially as we lost yet another 2 key players just before the game. Leeds kicked into full gear though and wiped the floor with us in the 2nd half.
We entertain Castleford on Sunday, we should get a win, but Cas can either play like puddings or fantastic so we will have to see!
There's been a bit of bother about the Challenge Cup Semi against Wakefield and where it is being held. Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium. It only holds around 15,000, and when you consider we have 8,500 season pass holders alone, not everyone is going to be able to get to the game. I have never had a season pass, mainly because they come out at Christmas, when to be totally honest I'm skint! Lots of other fans are the same, quite a few thousand in fact.
A lot of people are going to be penalised, for the sole reason that The Keepmoat (and it's a smashing stadium) will be full and look good on TV. That's it in a nutshell.
The RFL strike again!

I think the people that run sport in our country are just trainee government officials, they certainly use the same book of logic.

Absolutely! The RFL can't get through a season without cocking something up, it's tradition!

the only rule the rfl stick to is the rule that says "we must make ourselves look utter idiots" written in stone that rule is. james asked me tonight, even though you support rovers dad, will you take me to the semi? he couldnt believe it when i told him that even if i wanted to i couldnt because it is only 1 ticket per pass holder, how many other families are like us and have bought their kids passes? we get james one for xmas every year but at only 13 years old there is no way we will be letting him go to the match alone

It's potty if you ask me. Someone pointed out that Saints in their last 3 home games have just got about 9000. But they will get loads more tickets than we will. I understand that Leeds have a big following, but it will be very interesting what sort of crowd their semi draws.
