That woke me up!

We got up early (for a Saturday anyway) to watch Australia v GB. The Aussies of course, as cocky as ever, thought they could just turn up for the win. Their prop Willie Mason, well, how he didn't get sent off was a mystery to me. He decked Stuart Fielden, then took out Sean Long with an elbow the lug.
Anyway, we got the result 23-12 and well deserved too, and the icing on the cake was one of my lads going over for the final score.
Here's Gareth Raynor going over for said try:

Whaaheyyyy!! Get in Gazza!! :) :) :)

I don't think Willie Mason will be playing in this series anymore, what a thug.
Great result though especially now I've picked up a couple of Aussie Bloggers (I'll have to try not to mention it HeHe).

i thought peacock was brilliant, sean long was awesome. and senior had a very good game.

Peacock really stood up to the plate, although I don't condone violence of course, the way he sorted out Mason after he decked Fielding and someone flew at Longy, was real captain material.
Long was fantastic, it was good to see him perform like he does for Saints in a GB shirt. Senior defended really well I thought, and Price has really gone up in my estimation. In fact a lot of players who I call the hell out of really shone today. Even Sean O'Loughlin wasn't bad lol.

i was reading on the net, willie nelson (oops sorry i meant mason lol) is facing a judicial hearing tomorrow for the punch that broke stuart fieldens nose? i dont know if this is different to the "on report" because it said they will not be discussing the long challenge as that was seen not to be illegal.....................bollox.

It was the challenge on Longy that was put on report, and you're right, they said he didn't have a case to answer, and yes that was bollox!
The decking of Fielden was reported by GB themselves as Ashley Kline just said 'don't be a naughty boy' and waved him away. Mason has got a one match ban for that. Fielden has got a badly broken nose and has hurt his knee apparently. Now I thought he looked a bit unfit against NZ, maybe that knee was an injury he already had.
Anyway, hopefully big Gareth Carvell will come in, I'd like to see Willie 'Desperate Dan'Mason try to deck him!!
