A Good sporting Weekend!

On Friday Leeds Utd had a great 2-1 win at home to Preston. I was delighted, so much so that I sat and had a good weep when David Healy scored the 89th minute winner. For the first time in ages I really believe we can stay up instead of being just optimistic. Most of the results around us went very well too. The Easter games will be very important.

Saturday saw the deadly 'Sith' Hull Kingston Rovers, knocked out of the Challenge Cup by Warrington. The Dark Side did have some key players out injured, but did we get any sympathy when we went out at the first hurdle last year? No! So they'll get none from me either!

Sunday Saw the side of light, truth, and justice (Hull FC) triumph 78-0 against Hunslet, and so they should. I think any tries scored by the lowly Hunslet would have been greeted by not just hoots of derision, but other Jedi-like retribution too! Seriously though, scoring all those tries right across the park, cant do our confidence any harm at all.
Now those pesky neighbours of ours, keep going back to 1980, when in that famous all Hull Cup final, they managed to beat us by the skin of their teeth. They never let us forget that awful day. We have never won the Cup at Wembley, and they never let us forget that either.
So just think, how sweet it would be to get to the final at the New Wembley, and win the damn thing!
You watch we'll get drawn away at Saints tonight when the draw for the next round is made!
