Back on Track.

Kirk Yeaman shows which team he plays for after scoring a try today......just in case certain folk (and rumormongers) had other ideas!

Well it was a close thing but it was a win! 18-20 away at Wakefield. it was hard work and at times we looked very disorganised, which is understandable considering we had 2 young half backs, one making his superleague debut. (Great work Anthony Thackray!) But the team pulled together and got the result. Now we will kick on from this, and put last week shenanigans behind us.
(Incidentally Hull KR lost to Huddersfield last night 16-28, even 'avec le Cooke')

The decline goes on and on.........

Leeds Utd drew 1-1 today, and barring an absolute miracle will go down to Division 1. There was a pitch invasion at Elland Road, and according to my daughter, who was in the Leeds city centre earlier this evening, trouble had spilled onto the streets.
I'm not bothered about those idiots. What I am bothered about is Leeds Utd FC and if the club will survive this.
All this, when all is said and done, boiled down to folk spending money they didn't have.

Mr. Micawber, in Charles Dickens' David Copperfield, summed it up by saying:

"Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure nineteen nineteen six, result happiness. Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure twenty pounds ought and six, result misery."

Its a shame certain ex-chairmen and directors didn't read Dickens!

If you read any of the forums even the Cardiff supporters were shouting for Hull.
We'll bounce back stronger its now time to get rid of the loan players and build for the future with the young uns that are coming through.
I've seen a couple of them and they are good, Johnny Howson has a lot of class and Danny Rose and Tom Elliot are both England youth internationals.

I hope you're right Mick, we've seen enough of our talent pinched by other clubs!

the lad that scunny have had this year looks a good un, jermaine beckford. and he can do it in that division, id like to see hull city get him.

Beckford is still a Leeds player, only on loan to Scunny. He is a decent player and works hard, he'll keep improving.

yes i realise he is a leeds player i was commenting on how well he seems to have done, i was listening on the local radio the other night and the presenters were saying scunny may have less chance of keeeping him now leeds have gone down, because, 1. they will need to trim the wage bill so the "better" players will be shipped out, and 2. they know he can do it at this level so why not use him themselves rather than loan him out and have him doing it for others, the only proviso to this is what the financial position actually is at the club and will leeds accept an offer if scunny or anyone else comes in for players.
