Todays game....

..........was a 9 all draw against Huddersfield. Now this was the 1st time I'd seen the lads live for a couple of weeks, and you do see different things live. Today, we had about 75% of the possession, maybe even more, but did nothing with it.
Here's the scenario. We get into a good field position, and start a move. The ball is to be passed to a certain player in a certain way, that's the move. Now the idea is we have different players running off the ball to create confusion, the defence aren't sure who the ball is headed for till the last second. This creates space and leads to tries.
We are NOT doing this. We start a move, and only one player is running onto the ball, hence our attacks are dealt with.
I'm not having a go at my lads for effort, they were all shattered after the match, and I thank them for that. But it must be confidence sapping to see all their efforts come to naught.
Two questions:
1. What are the lads doing in training? Do they practice running the lines?

2. Why did our, apparently not injured captain, just walk off when all the other players clapped the fans at the end of the match. I was told this has happened before. He may have been disappointed but we pay his wages.

Its dissapointing when a player behaves like your captain. I just think they don't want to be here.

Well I'm beginning to wonder why he was appointed Captain. Last season's skipper Richard Swain gave up the captaincy as this is his last season. I think his reasoning being that it would be a smoother transaction when he leaves the club. But what a model sportsman he is. He even still goes to the ref to question decisions etc cos the lump we have now doesn't seem to be bothered. Swainy seems still to be the skipper in all but name.

there can only ever be one captain....................unless you are called paul cooke, then you just act like you are.
ive just heard he had another little bit of trouble on the bank holiday weekend, kicked his mother in laws door down apparently, not sure if the police were involved.

I guess you're right, Swainy is such a well respected player, and folk are just used to him being Captain.
I had heard that Crookie has had a bit of bother again on the personal front, but didn't hear any details. Also that him and Webbo aren't seeing exactly eye to eye. Mind you, I don't think you'd need a crystal ball to predict that one. It could take all Justinio's man management skills to cool fevered brows methinks.
